1. Overview
Because our services are largely custom and labor-intensive, refunds are handled on the basis described below. Where a signed statement of work contains specific refund or cancellation terms, those terms take precedence over this policy.
2. Custom Software Projects
Custom software development is billed against agreed milestones or time spent. Work that has already been performed and delivered is non-refundable. If you cancel before a milestone is complete, you remain responsible for fees for work performed and expenses incurred up to the cancellation date.
3. Consulting
Consulting services are billed for the time and expertise provided. Sessions or retainers that have been delivered are non-refundable. Prepaid consulting hours that remain unused may, at our discretion, be refunded or credited subject to any minimum commitments.
4. AI Automation Services
AI automation engagements often involve third-party model, compute and API costs that are incurred immediately and are non-refundable. Our professional fees for completed development and configuration work are likewise non-refundable.
5. Website Development
For website development, deposits secure your project slot and cover initial discovery and design work, and are generally non-refundable. Once design or development has begun, fees for completed work are non-refundable.
6. Subscription Services
Subscription or recurring services renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Fees already charged for the current billing period are non-refundable, but you will not be charged for subsequent periods after you cancel.
7. Cancellation Process
To cancel a project or subscription, send written notice to legal@shakhawatllc.online. Your cancellation takes effect once we acknowledge receipt and confirm the effective date. For subscriptions, cancel before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the following period.
8. Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a partial or full refund where:
- We are unable to deliver a service you have paid for and no acceptable alternative is agreed.
- A duplicate or erroneous charge has been made.
- Applicable consumer protection law requires a refund.
- A signed agreement expressly provides for a refund in the circumstances.
9. Non-Refundable Services
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Work that has already been performed or delivered.
- Third-party costs such as licenses, domains, hosting, compute and API usage.
- Deposits and non-refundable milestone payments specified in a quote or statement of work.
- Completed consulting sessions and elapsed subscription periods.
10. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email legal@shakhawatllc.online with the subject line "Refund Request", your invoice or order reference, and the reason for the request. We will review eligible requests and respond within a reasonable period. Approved refunds are issued using the original payment method where possible.
